The production at the Kashagan oil field in Kazakhstan, suspended on October 9 2013 due to a leak, may resume in the second half of 2014, states PRIME with reference to short-term forecast of the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) Office.
By the end of 2015 the volumes of production will be below the target level, planned for the first phase, at a rate of 370,000 barrels per day, since the technical difficulties and high costs will not allow expanding the production.
