Gazprom’s stake in gas import to the Ukraine to make up to 40% - head of Naftogas

The stake of Gazprom in gas import to the Ukraine in 2015 will make up to 40%, the head of NAK Naftogas Ukrainy, A. Kobolev, said.

“We usually don’t announce our position before the negotiations as it is not that effective and slightly breaks the negotiations but we are happy that our Russian partner is ready to make some concessions before the negotiations. Though this year Gazprom’s stake in gas import to the Ukraine will be maximum 40%. I think this is a good impetus to come to an agreement with us or try to agree”, Mr. Kobolev said.

“I wouldn’t say Gazprom is in the conditions to set its conditions as our work in 2014 – passing the winter without a crisis, maximization of reverse – don’t allow Gazprom to be a monopoly in gas imports to the Ukraine”, he said.

Naftogas plans to accumulate 19 bln cubic m of gas until this autumn.
