Gazprom orders more than half of pipes for Power of Siberia

On Wednesday, Gazprom announced the results of the tender for the purchase of large-diameter pipes (LDP) for 2015-2016 for the construction of a gas pipeline to China - Power of Siberia. The message was posted on public procurements website. The amount of the tender made up 67.8 billion rubles, the customer is Gazprom komplektatsiya, and pipe manufacturers will have tp supply the produced LDP to Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk.

The previous tender for the purchase of large diameter pipes for Power of Siberia was held by Gazprom in July 2013; then the company allocated 9.3 billion rubles among OMK, ChTPZ and Severstal. For this money the companies supplied 122 387 tons of pipes to Gazprom. The shipments began in autumn 2014 after signing a contract with China's CNPC for the supply of gas to China.
