SOCAR to continue its appraisal of resources of the “Umid” deposit

The state-run oil company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is about to resume drilling at the deposit “Umid”. It operates there alone. The first vice-president of SOCAR H.Yusifzade said the question was about the appraisal well.
“We are about to start drilling of a downward borehole from the current platform at “Umid” for a definition of reserves. If the result is successful, new production platform will be set at this part of the deposit,” he said.
