In the first quarter the Omsk oil-processing plant increased the volume of oil processing by 6% - to 4.9 million tons

In January-March of 2012, the Omsk oil-processing plant (a part of Gazpromneft) increased the volume of oil processing more than by 6% in comparison with the level of the same period in the previous year – to 4.9 million tons, the company’s message says.

The output of motor gasoline at the oil-processing plant was increased by 13.5% and made up 1.1 million tons. The volume of jet fuel production grew more than by 14% - to 286.7 thousand tons, the production of marine fuels – by 63% to 403.8 thousand tons.

The Gazpromneft – Omsk oil-processing plant, a subsidiary of Gazpromneft, is one of the largest oil-processing plants in the world. The installed capacity of the Omsk oil-processing plants makes up 20 million tons of oil per year. At present the list of the plant’s production consists of about 50 names.

In May of 2011, the billionth ton of oil was processed at the oil-processing plant since its foundation in 1955. This is the first Russian enterprise of oil processing that has reached this level.

In 2011, the Omsk oil-processing plant increased the volume of oil processing more than by 5% in comparison with 2010 – to 19.95 million tons.
