Bashneft is in the list of assets to be privatized this year. Previously the chairmen spoke about the intention to sell the packages of Rosneft and Bashneft to strategic investors and not offer anything in the market. It is possible to have the premium for control, the assistant to the President, A. Belousov said. The offering in the market will give a low benchmarking.

Mr. Korsik suggested following 2 parallel ways: simultaneously look for a strategic investor and prepare the company for the SPO. Only this way it is possible to form competition and increase the sales price, he said. Now the main candidate for the purchase of Bashneft is Lukoil. The Vice-President of Lukoil, L. Fedun, has already opposed the payment of the premium for the package of Bashneft, Mr. Korsik complained: according to Fedun, the company is already expensive. There is no other strategic investor as yet, Mr. Korsik said.
