In 2026 the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP) volume will reach 31 billion cubic meters per year, it is stated in the article of Khoshbakht Yusifzada, the first vice- president of SOCAR (the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan).

As the article informs, in 2023 the capacity of the pipeline, which is designed to ensure the transportation of Azerbaijani gas from the offshore gas condensate field "Shah Deniz" (which is  in the second phase of development) through Turkey 's border with Europe to reach 23 billion cubic meters.

The TANAP's commissioning will be in the middle of 2018 (with the initial capacity of the pipeline – 16 billion cubic meters).
