Chukotka can extract up to 39 tons of gold by 2019

Chukotka can extract up to 30-39 tons of gold and 135-153 tons of silver by 2019, the director of the subsoil use division of the Department for industrial policy of the Chukotka Government, T. Kashirina says. This evaluation has been made on the basis of the data about the production capacity of the mining enterprises concerning the dates of the deposits development in 2014-2018. The basis for maintenance of stable production is connected with the uninterrupted growth in resources and reserves of ore gold and silver in new sites development. Within the last 6 years, they submitted for development 19 sites perspective for the discovery of gold and gold-silver deposits with the total resource potential of 900 tons of ore gold and 6,000 tons of silver.
