CNPC announced the amount of investment in the development of the gas field in southern Turkmenistan.

CNPC has invested $ 4 billion in the commercial development of the gas-rich contractual territory Bagtyyarlyk in southern Turkmenistan.

As G. Berdymukhamedov stated, currently the Turkmen-Chinese cooperation in the oil and gas industry is developing dynamically and deeply.

Previously, the Turkmen media reported that work on the field Bagtyyarlyk - a raw source of supplies of Turkmen gas to China – are conducted from June 2008, in accordance with the Production Sharing Agreement signed with the State Agency for Management and Use of Hydrocarbon Resources under the President of Turkmenistan.

CNPC manages exploration and production of raw materials in the field and has also built two gas-cleaning companies.
