On May 26 2016 Lukoil, the second largest Russian oil company, and the French company SNF will begin the construction of a new co-production of akrylamid and polyacrylamide at the site of petrochemical enterprises of Saratovorgsintez, according to the RF Ministry of Economic Development.
The project is expected to be completed by 2018.
According to the report, the initial capacity of the plant will amount to 20 thousand tons of polyacrylamide in 2018, and later there will be a gradual build-up of production volumes up to 40 thousand tons per year by 2019-2022.
