The Ukraine gets ready to export gas

​In a few years the Ukraine will be able to export gas, the head of the Government, V. Greusman, said.

According to the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, the priority goal is the recovery of gas extraction rates by the state enterprises. In 3-5 years the country is expected to increase gas extraction to 20 bln cubic m. it will give an opportunity to export gas.

Greusman said that currently the situation is different – the country faces a deficit of gas resources. Gas is imported and purchased for foreign currency.

Kiev import gas from Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. The variants of supply from Turkey and Bulgaria.

In Q1 the Ukraine imported 2.6 bln cubic m of gas from Europe by the reverse scheme for $522 mln.

In April the Ministry of Energy of the Ukraine announced the growth of gas extraction to 27 bln cubic m a year. it will be reached in 5 years.
