Technology of almost complete processing of black oil fuel created in Russia

Institute of Petrochemical Synthesis n.a. Topchiev of the Russian Academy of Sciences has created a unique ultrafine catalyst for the processing of black oil fuel (tar, atmospheric and vacuum residues of heavy high-viscosity oils, tar oils, natural bitumen, etc.) and has developed the technology for its hydroconversion.

The technology, developed jointly with Chevron Lummus Global, based on the results of research and technological development in the field of hydrocracking of heavy feedstocks, exercised by the Institute and CLG for more than 30 years.
