UC Rusal's net profit reduced by 11 times for first 9 months

For the 9 months of 2012 UC Rusal reduced its normalized IAS profit 11.3 times – from $1.615 billion in 2011 to $143 million, RIA News reports with reference to the company’s press service.

This result proved to be lower than forecasted by analysts ($209.3 million).

The proceeds reduced by 12.8% - to $8.267 billion from $9.485 billion in 2011.

Corrected EBIDTA was reduced by 3 times – to $694 million from $2.130 billion. Analysts expected the proceeds at the rate of $8.249 billion  and EBIDTA – $678.9 million.

UC Rusal is the largest aluminium producer in the world. The main products of the company are primary aluminium, aluminium alloys, foil and alumina. The plants and the missions of Rusal are situated in 19 countries at five continents. The company sells its products mainly in Europe, North America, South-East Asia, Japan and Korea.
