Why the LNG exporters are afraid of Russian gas?

Russia's decision to expand its energy ties with China overshadows the prospects for LNG projects in the US, Canada and Australia, the Vesti Ekonomiki website writes.

The companies that want to get the approval for their LNG projects in the coming years and to begin the deliveries by the end of the decade are likely to face the fact that they can not start the delivery on time, according to the consultants on energy from Tri-Zen International.

The agreements on gas supplies between Russia and China are increasing the pressure on the projects that are already facing increased competition, increased costs and the prospect of lower prices.
