Oil companies lose interest in geological exploration: the first Rosnadra’s tender of this year doesn’t cause feverish demand
Subsoil Use Department of the Urals Federal District has announced auctions for the right to prospect, explore and produce hydrocarbons at 17 areas in the Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district, the Interfax reports in November. Applications were accepted until December 25, bids are scheduled for January 14. On the whole, by mid-2016 Rosnedra plans to put up 27 hydrocarbon areas for auctions and contests.
This Thursday, only 7 of 17 sites in the region will be sold, a source in the Ministry of Natural Resources reported. These are small areas and mainly comprise the resource data. The highest payment of them - 141.4 million rubles - is set for the East-Tugrovsky site (contains 5.5 billion cubic meters of C1 gas reserves, 1.9 billion cubic meters of D1 gas reserves, 1.6 million tons of D1 oil reserves and 0.1 million tons of D2 oil reserves). Companies Argos and Lukoil - Western Siberia claim to it. Also the following sites will be put up: East-Tukansky site (La-Mansh and Surgutneftegaz claim to it, the initial payment is 9.6 million rubles), East-Yukyaunsky (the same companies, 67.4 million rubles), West-Bakhilovsky (Zarubezhneft and Dalpromsintez; 127.6 million rubles), West-Uzun sky ( two subsidiaries of RussNeft - Aganneftegasgeologia and Varieganneft; 2.6 million rubles), Pikovy ( the same companies; 6.5 million rubles), Yugansky 44 (La-Mansh, Surgutneftegaz, Invest technology, Negusneft; 7.3 million rubles).
