FAS admits the possibility of oil companies to enter Transneft’s capital

The Federal Antimonopoly Service admits the possibility of entry of oil companies to Transneft’s capital, FAS’ head Igor Artemyev stated to the Kommersant.

At the same time, he noted that the Antimonopoly Service didn’t support idea of entry of Rosneft to the pipeline monopoly’s capital through additional issue, as the state-owned company previously requested.

"Generally, the pipeline must be independent of the oil companies. If it is, as in the case of Transneft, a joint stock company with a controlling package, which belongs to the state, then either all oil companies must be admitted to its capital, or none of them,"- Artemyev said.
