The Irkutsk region can increase gold production due to geological exploration in the Mamsko-Chuisky district

The Irkutsk region can increase gold production due to further geological exploration in the Mamsko-Chuisky district, deputy minister of natural resources and ecology of the region Vasily Molochny thinks.

According to the deputy minister, the Mamsko-Chuisky district has less gold mineralization potential of exploration and weak degree of exploration than the Bodaibinsky district. "Geological surveying for gold is necessary there, previously only works for mica were carried out in the district," – Molochny said at the meeting of the Natural Resource Management Committee of the  region’s Legislative Assembly.
