Lithuania to reject the import of Russian gas in 2016

Lithuania plans to abandon Russian gas supplies in 2016, the Minister of Energy of Lithuania, Rokas Masiulis reported.
The terms of the contract, signed by Lithuania with Gazprom will expire at the end of this year. Lithuania built a terminal for supplies of liquefied natural gas at the end of 2014. According to the Minister, the plant will provide the whole country with gas even without supplies from Russia. The Minister of Energy said that he would compare prices of gas suppliers and choose the most profitable option.
