Head of the German company Wintershall Rainer Seele has expressed "mixed feelings" concerning the abolition of the South Stream project and failed asset swap transaction with Gazprom: on the one hand, the company hasn’t received an opportunity to increase its production in Russia and reliable route for Russian gas supply, on the other – it freed substantial cash flows that it may use for other projects.
