Investments into the processing of polymers in Russia decrease by 26%.

In 2015 investments into the processing of polymers decreased by 26% and amounted to 531 million US dollars. This is almost two times lower than in 2008, when it exceeded the level of 1 billion US dollars, according to an annual review of MRC.

In 2009-2013 Russian companies have raised purchases of equipment for processing of bulk polymers. Peak was in 2013, when the investments totaled 850 million US dollars. In 2014 the level of investments decreased by 16% (up to 717 million US dollars), and by 26% in 2015. Last year the investments did not reduce only in the membrane extrusion sector and in the production of compounds.
