Gazprom issues an invoice in the amount of 1.66 billion for June to Naftogaz

Gazprom has issued a preliminary invoice in the amount of $1.66 billion for June gas supplies to Naftogaz Ukrainy, official representative of Gazprom Sergei Kupriyanov reported.
“Today Gazprom sent an official notice to Naftogaz Ukrainy about transfer to prepayment of gas supplies in accordance with point 5.8 of the contract dated 2009.” – he said.
“The preliminary invoice was issued on the assumption of contract volume of the supplies – 114 million cubic meters per day. Taking into account weekends, Naftogaz must pay this invoice before June 2, and from June 3 the company will receive only n prepaid volumes of gas for its supply to Ukrainian consumers,” – Kupriyanov stated.
