UC Rusal reduced aluminum production by 12% to 883,000 tons in Q1

The Russian largest aluminum producer UC Rusal reduced aluminum production by 12.3% to 883,000 tons in Q1 2014, due to realization of the program aimed at the reduction of its capacities. They stopped the least effective plants in the European Russia and the Urals, including Volgograd, Ural, Volkhov, Bogoslovsky, Nodvoitsy aluminum plants, at the first production site of Novokuznetsk aluminum plant and plant ALSCON in Nigeria. The share of HAV products in the total yield increased by 4basic points to 44%.
