The Turkmen delegation visits the Iranian gas field "South Pars".

The Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Baymyrat Hojamuhammedov headed a high-level Turkmen delegation visiting the special energy economic zone (SEZ) "Pars" and industrial sites of the "South Pars" gas field, Iran.ru informs.

During the meeting with the members of the Turkmen delegation director of the SEZ "Pars" Mehdi Yousefi reminded that "South Pars" was the world's largest gas field. It holds about 50% natural gas reserves owned by Iran and 8% of the established world gas reserves. This field provides 24 phases of its development and processing of gas. Currenly 12 phases operate and with the commissioning of all the phases of the "South Pars" field up to 800 million cubic meters of gas per day will be mined and processed. At this point 450 million cubic meters of gas are produced in this field per day.
