Export revenue of Russian ferrous metallurgy fell by more than a third in Q1

The Russian export of ferrous metals in Q1 2016 fell by 0.7% against Q1 2015 and made up 10.168 mln tons, the Federal Customs Service reports.

Out of the total export volume 9.103 mln tons of ferrous metal were exported to the far abroad countries in Q1 2016.

The export of cast iron fell by 0.1% to 1.195 mln tons, semi-finished goods out of carbon steel – by 4.2% to 3.653 mln tons.

In monetary terms the export of ferrous metals fell by 35.1% to $2.793 bln. The value of cast iron supplies fell by 42.1% to $225.1 mln, of semi-finished goods out of carbon steel – by 40.7% to $849.3 mln.
