UC Rusal: deficit of aluminum on world market to exceed 1.2 million tons

By the end of 2016, the global aluminum deficit will exceed 1.2 million tons as compared with the surplus of 600 thousand tons at the end of 2015. This is the forecast of one of the largest aluminum companies in the world UC Rusal, published on Friday.

The company expects that the global demand for aluminum in 2016 will continue to grow (by 5.3% or 3 million tons) and will reach 59.6 million tons. The demand for aluminum in China will grow by 7% in 2016 up 31 million tons.
