Turkmenistan paves the way for new gas markets

Countries, interested in the TAPI pipeline project (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) prepare to announce a leader of the consortium in September 2015. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated this at the meeting in Ashgabat with the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday.
"In September of this year a leader of the consortium will be determined, and then the implementation of the project will begin," - the President of Turkmenistan said. The leader of the consortium will provide not only the construction and operation of the gas pipeline, but it also will have to raise funds to finance the project.
