Oil extraction in Tatarstan in H1 grew by 4.1% to 17.2 mln tons, R. Minnikhanov, said.
In H1, 17.2 mln tons of oil were extracted in Tatarstan, which is by 644 thousand tons higher than in H1 2015. The rates f oil extraction growth made up 104.1%, he said.
The main driver of the growth was the extraction of super-viscous oil. The oil sector of the republic works in a stable mode and develops successfully, he said.
Tatneft and about 30 small oil companies hold oil extraction in Tatarstan. In H1 Tatneft increased extraction by 4.9% to 13.9 mln tons.
