Titanium dioxide enterprise planned to be created in the Murmansk region

The Murmansk region prepares for implementation of a project on creation of mining and processing plant for the production of titanium dioxide, rare and rare earth metals on the basis of the Afrikandovskoye deposits, the website of the regional government reports.

On August 4, 2015, the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use announced an open auction for subsoil of the Afrikandovskoye deposits of perovskite -titanomagnetite ores, located in the southern part of the Kola Peninsula, 1.5 km from the railway station Afrikanda on the southern shore of the Imandra Lake.
