Tethys Petroleum began exploration drilling in Western Kazakhstan

Tethys Petroleum Limited began AKD08 Doto exploration well drilling, with depth of 3,500 m located in south-west to the Doris production well and in the north of the Dion oil deposit in Western Kazakhstan. The Doto structure has 22 million barrels of perspective  oil reserves in the horizons of the Cretaceous period, and the Upper Jurassic period. The Triassic period has not passed through the independent estimation as yet. However the company thinks that the structure is perspective. The well will be drilled with the use of ZJ70 Telesto drilling machine in the Low Cretaceous
