Next week RWE will start pumping gas into Ukrainian storages. The reserves of the foreign owner will be collected for the first time since 2005 when Gazprom reduced gas storing in Ukraine after a number of scandals. Since then the subsidiaries of Naftogaz of Ukraine have been using the storages, though the reserves were mainly created for uninterrupted transit of Russian gas to Europe during winter season.
