Rosneft obtains 100% of Solimoes project in Brazilia

Rosneft has bought out 55% stake in the Solimoes project in Brazil from PetroRio for $55 million, the Russian company reported on Tuesday, October 13.
The deal allowed the oil company to become the only member of the Solimoes project. The report states that the closing of the transaction will allow Rosneft Brasil to continue exploration work for the detection of promising oil deposits and move forward in the project with Petrobras to study the "possibilities of monetization of proven gas reserves".
