Extraction at Kashagan can resume in the second half of December 2013

~~Extraction at the large sea deposit Kashagan can resume in the second half of December 2013 when the analysis of the pipelines is completed after its closure due to a gas leak,the Kazakh Minister for Oil and Gas, Uzakbai Karabalin reported.

The extraction at Kashgan one of the largest deposits in the world was stopped in September, two weeks after its start, due to a gas escape. In October another gas escape happened. Initially it was supposed that the extraction would make up 8 million tons next year and increase to 12 million tons in 2015.
