In January-September Russia increases gold production by 16.6%.

According to the preliminary data in January-September 2014 Russian mining companies produced 216.972 tons of gold initially and the associated production of nonferrous metals, including recycling of scrap and waste, and gold concentrates – it is 16.6% more than the same period in 2013, according to the Union of Russian Gold Producers.

The primary production of gold during the period under consideration increased by 11.3% to 175.204 tons, the recycling of scrap and waste has more than doubled –up to 26.66 tons from 11.92 tons a year earlier. At the same time the associated production of precious metals increased by 1.3% to 12.726 tons.
