Russia is going to finance shale oil production

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia analyzes possible state co-financing of the pilot project for hard-extractable oil production at the special fields in the Russian regions, the Minister S. Donskoy says. One of the pilot areas can be the Tomsk region in the Siberian federal area. He claims that hard-extractable oil production will gradually increase, not only due to beneficial taxation but also at the expense of growth in investment of private companies and participation of the state.
