Tomsk region to become a pilot region on difficult-to-recover hydrocarbons production

Preferential taxation at the output of difficult-to-recover hydrocarbon reserves will allow realizing ambitious projects on the territory of Tomsk region and the country. The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation S.Donskoi asserted within the frame of a working meeting with the governor of the Tomsk region S.Zhvachkin.

Half of the oil resources on the territory of Tomsk region are of difficult-to-recover category. They are 44.3% of reserves in low-permeability reservoir, high-viscous oil – 0.23%, oil rims – 5.29%. The main part of tight oil reserves in the Tomsk region are of Tyumen suite.
