Moscow waits for proposals on adaptation of agreements on South Stream to legislation of the EU

The Russian party expects that the EU Energy Commissioner, Guenther Oettinger will present the European Commission’s proposals concerning the adaptation of intergovernmental agreements on the South Stream gas pipeline to the Third Energy Package of the European Union in Moscow this week. This was reported by the permanent representative of Russia to the EC, Vladimir Chizhov.

“The EU Commissioner (Oettinger) will be in Moscow on January 17th; he will take part in the meeting of the Permanent Russian-EC Partnership Council for Energy. Possibly, he will say something,” – the ambassador said, speaking at the briefing at the expert institute “Centre of European policy”.
