The company increased its gas production by 9%.
Last year Novatek increased gas production by 9.3% to almost 68 billion cubic meters and, apparently, has retained the status of Russia's second largest producer after "Gazprom". Production of liquid hydrocarbons, which the company made a bid in within the last few years, increased by 50.7% to 9 million tons. Despite the stagnation of domestic demand for gas, independent manufacturers continue to expand in the domestic market, forcing "Gazprom" to reduce production to new historical lows.
