Norilsk Nickel calls to decrease world nickel production by 25%

Executive director of the mining and metallurgical company Norilsk Nickel Pavel Fedorov has said that the world production of nickel should be reduced by up to 25% because of the fall in prices by 40% last year. He stated this in an interview with The Financial Times. "If the vendors behave rationally, we will see the market recovery, but if manufacturers don’t change their tactics, the prices will remain low until the return of the rational behavior of the market players," - he said.
