Novatek returned to the idea of selling a 9% stake in the "Yamal LNG" project worth $ 27 billion. The company wants to arrange a deal, that co-owner of Novatek Leonid Michelson called "irrelevant" in January, to mid-year, when project financing of "Yamal LNG" can open. Within a year the shareholders of "Yamal LNG" are trying to agree on additional financing of the project, but only the NWF and the Russian state-owned banks are willing to give money. The head of Total Patrick Puyang calls sanctions, under which Novatek got, the main reason for pause, "the Kommersant" writes.
