In January-February, oil production in the Yamal-Nenets autonomous district grew by 12%

Since the beginning of 2016, the oil production on the Yamal Peninsula increased by 12%. It was reported by the Department of Natural Resources Regulation, Forestry Relations and Development of Oil and Gas Complex of the autonomous district.

In the first two months, 93.88 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced in the Yamal-Nenets autonomous district, which made up 101.9% as compared to the same period of 2015; 3.76 million tons of oil (112.2%) and 3.34 million tons of gas condensate (96.4%). According to projections based on the plans of the companies of the fuel and energy complex in the Yamal-Nenets autonomous district, in 2016, the production of the main types of hydrocarbons will increase. It is planned that the oil production will be 26 million tons (in 2015 - 20.6 million tons), natural gas - 541.1 billion cubic meters (2015 - 507.7 billion cubic meters), gas condensate - 21.8 million tons (in 2015 - 22.4 million tons).
