Iran starts negotiations with Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan on resumption of swap supplies of crude oil

Almost four years after the stoppage of swap supplies of crude oil from the Caspian states through Iranian territory, Iran has started negotiations with countries of Central Asia, particularly, with Kazakhstan, on resumption of such supplies, the Deputy Minister of Oil on International Issues Ali Majedi reported.

Besides, same negotiations were held with Turkmenistan that has announced its readiness to resume the oil trade with Iran.

Ali Majedi noted that along with the negotiations with these countries, Iran provided swap supplies of over 210 thousand tons of oil products from Caspian countries to external markets last year.
