In 2014, Zaporozhstal is going to increase EBITDA by 50%

In 2014, Zaporozhstal is going to increase EBITDA by 50% to 2 billion grivnas.

The CEO of Zaporozhstal, R. Shurma says that in 2012 when they accepted the combine the losses were 0.5 billion grivnas. In 2013, the positive result in EBITDA was 1.2 billion grivnas. It’s hard to make any forecasts for this year but the target is to increase these indices by 1.5 times, i.e. to 2 billion grivnas. Zaporozhstal increased production by 2.5% in 2013 when it fell in the whole metallurgy sector. In H1, production increased by 5%. Investment increased proportionally. It was 450 million grivnas only in 2012 and increased to 600 million grivnas in 2013. Mr. Shurma thinks that this year investment increases by 1.5 times, analogically to the financial results.
