Europe was ready to talk with Russia on the gas pipeline "Nord Stream 2", but on one condition, the Vice-President of the European Commission (EC) on the Energy Union Maroš Šefčovič stated at the press conference, which was broadcast over the Internet from Bratislava, Bloomberg informs.
According to Maroš Šefčovič, "pragmatic discussion" of the EU with Russia is possible only if it promises to keep the Russian gas transit through the Ukraine. This vice-president of the European Commission has called a key condition for dialogue on the "North Stream 2" project.
