NLMK has produced a record steel volume in Q2

​In Q2 NLMK produced a record volume of steel – 4.2 mln tons, loading of capacities made up 100%.

The Sort rolling division in Russia and foreign companies of the group showed a significant growth.

In Q2 steel output grew by 6% to 4.2 mln tons by means of steel production growth at all sites of the group. The loading of steel making capacities of the group rose to 100%. In connection with the significant growth of supplies within the group, the sales to external consumers fell by 5% to 3.9 mln tons. Meanwhile the sales of finished rolled products stayed a stable level – 2.6 mln tons, stake of finished products in the total portfolio of sales grew to 65%. The sale of foreign companies of the group rose by 12% on the background of demand recovery in Europe and the USA.

The stake of sales to the companies of the group in the countries of production made up 51%. The stake of sales to the third parties in the foreign markets made up 32%.

In H1 2016 steel production of NLMK rose by 4% to 8.22 mln tons. The loading of steel making capacities rose to 97%. The group’s sales rose by 1% to 8.1 mln tons by means of the growth of sales of flat rolled products by 105 to 4.17 mln tons.
