The stopping of Russian gas transit by the Ukraine threatens national safety of Bulgaria

The Ukraine's decision to include the stopping of the natural gas transit in the possible sanctions against Russia is a serious threat to the national security of Bulgaria. This was stated by the retired Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, Christian Vigenin on his page on Facebook on August 13.

Since the final decision is in the hands of the President of the Ukraine, Petr Poroshenko, I think that the President of Bulgaria, Rosen Plevneliev should immediately demand assurances on delivery from him, and the Minister of Economy and Energy - to insist on a clear position and support at the level of the European Union together with other countries, which are potentially under threat, Vigenin writes. "The situation requires swift action," - he emphasized.
