Gazprom has stated looking for project financing for Nord Stream-2
Gazprom already holds preliminary works on the search of the project financing for the expansion of Nord Stream, deputy chairman of Gazprom, A. Medvedev, said.
We are sure there will be interested parties. Where else is it possible to find such goods projects with a low level of risks? – he said.
The company doesn’t plan to limit with Europe only and will attract funds from banks and other regions, he said.
At the construction of branches 1 and 2 of Nord Stream, 30% was financed by the shareholders and 70% - project financing.
In June 2015 Gazprom, E.ON, Shell and OMV signed a memorandum of intentions presupposing a join construction of 2 branches of Nord Stream-2 with the total capacity of 55 bln cubic m a year from the coast of Russia via the Baltic Sea to the coast of Germany.
