Oleg Akimov: The main goal of RN-Yuganskneftegaz is to keep annual oil extraction at the level of 65-66 million tons

On October 3 the 2-billionth ton of oil was extracted at one of the fields of RN-Yuganskneftegaz.

The peak of extraction – 71 million tons – was fixed in 1986 due to putting into operation Mamontovskoe and Ust-Balykskoe deposits. Then the slump occurred in 1990-s. In 2008 the enterprise reached the amount of 65-66 million tons of oil and kept it for next several years. Senior deputy General Director for production Chief Engineer Oleg Akimov sees the main goal of the enterprise in keeping the extraction at the amount of 65-66 million tons of oil, as this amount can provide for “calm development and gradual implementation of all our ideas and plans”.
