Pipelaying vessel has been designed at Krylovsk State Research Centre

A conceptual design of a pipe-lay barge has been created at Krylovsk State Research Centre. The creation of such a vessel for the Arctic shelf of Russia is very important.

The specialists of the centre say that maximum available load of such ships is guaranteed because of great opportunities of sealines construction in Russia and abroad.

According to one of the designers of the project, the head of Krylovsk State Research Centre N.Valdman, the parameters of a pipe-lay barge are to be chosen, based on the optimization of the components of pipe-lay sector and separate stages of the laying of sealines.

On the basis of design study and testing of models in seakeeping and ice basins there have been chosen a vessel.
