Severstal increases the deliveries to Russian builders by 10% and is ready for import substitution.

Within the first 9 months of 2014 "Severstal", one of the world's largest vertically integrated steel and mining companies, has increased its deliveries to the construction industry in Russia up to 3.1 million tons of steel (a 10% year-on-year increase). In particular, the shipment of long products increased by 22% or 193 thousand tons, the shipment of pipes and formed sections by 15% or 66 thousand tons.

"In Russia, one in seven meters of housing is built using the Cherepovets metal, every fifth bridge is erected using the products of "Severstal", - Sergei Toropov, the general director of "Severstal Russian Steel", states. - Only about half of steel delivered to the domestic market is used in the construction industry".
