RUSAL: THE SECOND COMING?

GC "FosAgro"  and UC RUSAL and discussing the possibility of creating a new production of aluminum fluoride in Balakovo capacity of about 35 thousand tons a year.

Project parameters are still being discussed. A similar plant is already running in Cherepovets of Vologda Region, the investment amounted to more than 2 billion rubles. Production started in the framework of cooperation agreements with UC "RUSAL" for the period until the end of 2034 the total amount of over 40 billion rubles.

Manufacturing in Cherepovets will allow to reduce the volume of purchases of similar import raw materials from 74 to 69%. RUSAL buys 100 thousand tons of aluminum fluoride. Through this component, the electrolysis of aluminum is more efficient and less energy-consuming.
